I`m nobody`s little pet. I can tickle to death. is what the Rebel claims on it’s box. But can it tickle me into an orgasm? Well, read on to find out.

The Toyfriend Mini Rebel is a small g spot vibrator from Toyfriend, a company who specialized in brightly coloured toys with innovative shapes. I definitely recommend checking the site out! The Rebel arrived in a fairly plain box with a front window, but given the shape of the toy, I wouldn’t consider very discreet. (As a random side note, I adored the brightly printed ‘Toyfriend’ in multi colours on the inside of the package.) It also comes with a little clear display stand to store your toy on when not in use, but I don’t use it, as my cat seems to think toys on my dresser were put there solely for her amusement and to knock to the ground.

The silicone Toyfriend uses is lovely. Plush, with a bit of a drag to it, and while it does pick up some lint and dust, it’s not as bad as other types of silicone I’ve played with. If you aren’t someone who gets fairly wet naturally, I would definitely recommend adding a bit of water based lube to your play with the Rebel. This vibrator is also waterproof, so is great for masturbating in the bathtub or shower. (And yes, it did stand up to my ‘Waterboarding Toys for SCIENCE’ test.)

In use, well, the Rebel isn’t the bad boy he’s portrayed as. The ‘hook’ on the end of the toy does work well for g-spot play, although I would have preferred a longer handle. The vibrations are a bit on the rumbly side, but not very strong. Under a blanket, the sound from this toy being used are almost completely muffled. Externally, the same hook also is convenient for rubbing the Rebel against your clit. I found that I could reach orgasm with this vibe, but it was definitely a longer and more fiddly process than I prefer. I am all about the instantaneous gratification that thrusting with a larger toy or a high powered vibe can bring. However, if you prefer your vibrations to be on the ‘nicer’ side of the equation and your toys to not be thick or threatening, you should definitely check this Rebel out.

The Rebel runs on one ‘N’ battery, which is a wierd little battery that looks like a AAA cut in half. I have another bullet that runs off one of these (The Tantus Touch), and unfortunately, it also had the same power issues. I can come from it, but it requires a lot of time, patience, and grinding the toy against my clit in juuuuust the right way. The other problem is that I have never seen an N battery on any of my recent trips to Walmart when I’m stocking up on AA or AAAs. I don’t want to have to make a special trip to an electronics store for my vibrator batteries!

Cleaning is the normal procedure for silicone toys. Wash them with antibacterial soap and water, or wipe down with a 10% bleach solution. Don’t boil the Rebel, though, or put him through the dishwasher, as you may fry his electronics. Don’t use silicone lube either, as it may react poorly with a silicone toy!

I give the Rebel three bad-boy loving paws up out of five!
