Oh, tentacles, how I love you! While I don’t exactly have a tentacle fetish, I definitely am interested in hentai anime films, and can appreciate the old school Japanese woodcutings.
What do I personally like about tentacles? Well, even though I am not into bestiality, the fantasy element appeals to me. The thought of multiple sentient arms or tentacles touching me, doing wicked things to me…yes please! Also, I read Lovecraft’s tales of Cthulhu at far too impressionable an age.
Historical note: tentacle porn is depicted in Japanese art, with early instances of it dating back to the 18th century! One of the most famous instances of hawt tentacle on female porn is the ‘The Dream of the Fisherman’s Wife’ woodcut, by artist Hokusai from the year 1814! It’s a piece of ‘shunga’, which is a Japanese term for erotica art.
This particular tentacle may not be sentient, but I adore it anyway. It is a tapered toy that starts with a gentle curve, and thickens into a chunky base. The length is 7 inches, with an insertable length of 6 inches. The circumference is 2 1/4 inches, but gets larger the farther down the toy you go.
The toy is one solid piece of silicone with the exception of a small ‘maker’s mark’ on the base, which is a circle of black silicone that says ‘Whipspider Rubberworks‘ on it as well as their logo on it. It’s firmly in the base, though, so no need to worry about it falling out.
The colouring on this toy is insanely gorgeous! The main shaft is a deep sky blue with random purple highlights, and both colours have a metallic/pearlescent sheen. The part where the suction cups are is a pale glow-in-the-dark green blue. I love it! It really is one of the most beautifully coloured toys I own. Plus, the fact that it glows brightly in the dark along the suction cups is a bonus!
The Tentacle has a double row of suction cups that runs the length of the toy, following the curve. The texture is definitely noticeable, but not something that I found to be overly abrasive. If you add a fair bit of lube (Water based only, please! Slick and slippery tentacle is ok, melted one is not!), it lessens the amount of texture you will feel, and also adds to the fantasy of a tentacle slipping around inside you. But, if the texture is too much for you, most of the toy is smooth, so you could easily turn it so it is not too intense. Another option would be to check out The Wave, also by Whipspider Rubberworks! It is the exact same shape as the Tentacle, but without the suction cups.
The silicone Whipspider used for the tentacle has a glossy finish which has some drag to it, so you will want to be really wet or put some lube on it before you use it. (The suction cups hold little pools of lube nicely!) The Tentacle’s silicone is on the squishier side, I’d rate it as a 5 out of 10. I can even un-bend the curl of the tentacle so it is straight! The softness of the silicone means that the texture of the suckers isn’t as intense as it would be with a harder toy. For me, the only downside to this is that the curve doesn’t rub against my g-spot as firmly as I would like it to. I need constant harder pressure to come from g-spot stimulation, and the tentacle just doesn’t deliver that for me.
When I’m using the Tentacle, I can definitely feel the texture of the suckers, but they don’t irritate me. However, I am one of those people who occasionally like a lot texture, so you should take that into consideration when you decide if this toy is for you or not. Despite the length and curve of the toy, I can insert most of it once I am warmed up and turned on, and it doesn’t poke at my cervix because of the curve. The base is not idea for holding while thrusting, sadly. I found it hard to keep a grip on it, and the bulkiness made for sore fingers and wrists. My boyfriend also wasn’t a fan of using the Tentacle on me for the same reasons. Plus, the mix of cum and lube on the toy makes it a lot more difficult to hold!
Cleaning this can be a bit of a chore. With the texture in the suction cups, you will have to spend some extra time if you are just washing it with soap and water. Cum and lube can get caught in the cups, and I found that it took some scrubbing with a toothbrush to get it completely clean. However, you can also boil the toy, or put it through the dishwasher to clean it without using as much effort.
While the Tentacle isn’t the perfect toy for me, I still love it for the unique sensations it gives me and for how damn pretty it is! I give it 4 suctioned cupped paws up out of 5!

I want this so bad! I’m worried the texture may end up irritating me though since I’m sensitive to such things. I keep going back and forth on this. The Wave just isn’t as cool as the Tentacle.
I didn’t even think about the cleaning issues with the suction cups. That sounds like a pain. Yet, I’m still undecided. SIGH.
If you have texture issues, maybe try the Tentacle Jr? The suction cups are much less pronounced, but you still get a pretty tentacle…it also doesn’t have the extra cleaning problems!
This one sure does look like a lot of fun, but I know me… toys that take more than minimal effort to get clean tend to gravitate to the bottom of the drawer and not get played with.
Maybe someday when I have tons of money and can afford dildos as decoration…
