Not Your Everyday Dildo: A Review of Tantus’ Luke O2

I’m not normally the sort of girl who goes for realistic dildos. I have several cocks in my life (and rather fabulous men attached to them), so when I want something inside me to masturbate, I want a shape that isn’t something I normally have access to. The Luke O2, sent to me for review by Shevibe, may have changed that for me.

Now, the first thing about this toy that needs explaining is the ‘O2′ part of the name. O2 a line of silicone toys from Tantus that is dual density and designed to feel as realistic as possible. The SuperSoft™ outside and the hard muscle core combination of squish and firmness feels amazing for penetration. This is my first dual density toy, and I have to say that I’m hooked. While it’s doesn’t feel exactly the same as a flesh and blood penis, Tantus has made a pretty kick ass facsimile with the way they layer the density of their silicone.

The shape of the Luke is really realistic. The shaft of the toy has veins that are fairly pronounced, but not so much so that I found them to be irritating during use. The head of this dildo has a pronounced corona (the lip of the head) and there’s even foreskin wrinkles just below the head for an extra realistic look. The balls are ridiculously soft and squishy, (I may have occasionally squished them like a stress ball while I was writing my review of this toy.) if not completely in proportion to the rest of the toy. The Luke also has two different types of texture/finish to it. The shaft and balls are a matte finish with a little bit of drag, while the head is smooth, and has more drag to it.

You should only use water based lubes with silicone toys. Some types of silicone lubes may react with silicone toys, and it can damage your toy. Also, sometimes silicone toys can react to other silicone toys, so I prefer to err on the side of caution and just keep them separate. I store my silicone toys in plastic bags, as most silicone attracts lint and dust like crazy, and this also fixes the touching issue. To clean your dildo, you can wash it with antibacterial soap and water for everyday cleaning, or, to sterilize it, you can boil it for 10 minutes, or just wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution.

The Luke O2 is a bit of a beast, and is definitely a girthier than average toy. Luke measures 7 inches total length, with 5 3/4 inches of insertable length. It has a diameter of 2 inches, and a circumference of 6 inches. This is definitely not a toy for people are new to insertables. I normally don’t find myself needing to use lube with toys, but the size and the drag of the silicone with Luke means that I grab the nearest bottle of Sliquid before I can wank with it. This is a harness compatible toy, but you’ll have to find an o ring that is at least 2 inches in diameter. I found that Luke sat fairly comfortably in my strap on harness, but the weight did drag the head of the toy downwards a bit. In my opinion, this toy is way too large and firm for packing.

This is currently my go-to dildo for those days that I want something thick inside me to clench around while I have a vibrator on my clit. The squish of the O2 material feels amazing, but the harder inner core still gives me something solid to come around. For me, the length of the Luke is perfect. It’s not so long that it bottoms out and bangs against my cervix (which just hurts), so that makes it a toy that I am comfortable with my partners using on me. The flat base and balls make an excellent grip for thrusting, and Bloodhound says that he didn’t find it uncomfortable to hold the toy to use it on me.

Luke is far too large for me to use for anal play, and BloodHound just laughed at me when I asked it he’d like to try it out. So, y’all are going to have to find another reviews to see how Luke feels anally, sorry!

Everything’s Golden: A Review of Joyful Pleasure’s 24K Double Pleasure Wand

I adore glass toys, and love texture, so a toy that combined the two sounded fabulous! Tabu Toys sent me this gorgeous glass double ended dildo last month, and I have to say that I’m in love.

The 24K Double Pleasure Wand (referred to as the 24K Wand for the rest of the review) is beautiful. It’s a very light golden colour that reminds me of the gorgeous Depression glass my great grandmother had, only with a shimmery, almost pearlescent, sheen to it. Photos and words alone really don’t do this one justice, guys. It has two different types of textures: a raised continuous swirl on one end, and lots of little raised nubs on the other. The length of the 24K Wand is 9 inches total, and it has a diameter of 1.5 inches. Because this is a hand blown glass toy, some variations in the sizes is to be expected, so keep that in mind when ordering.

Taking care of your 24K Wand is simple. Glass can be boiled for 10 minutes to sterilize it, or wiped down with a 10% bleach solution. You can also put it in the top shelf of the dishwasher and put it through a wash cycle without dish soap, if the other two methods sound too complucated. For everyday cleaning, just use some sort of antibacterial soap and some hot water. I would reccomend storing your toy in a padded bag of some sort. Unfortunately the 24K Wand didn’t come with it’s own bag, so I improvised, and it’s being stored in a clean sock in my toy drawer. Also, you should always check your glass toys for any cracks or chips before using it, just to be careful.

I thought that I would love the spiral end of this glass dildo best, but it turns out that little nubbly bumps feel wonderful. That type of texture, combined with the slight upward curve of this toy makes for some pretty intense g-spot orgasms. I had to angle the toy a bit than I would with something specifically designed for g-spot play, but it wasn’t an angle that was awkward or left my wrist cramping. While the spiraled end of this toy is also textured, I felt that the swirls weren’t raised enough for me to get the sort of stimulation that I wanted and needed from them. I tend to prefer a bit more texture than the average girl, though. I do love the length of this dildo, because the extra few inches makes a great handle so you don’t get come and lube all over your fingers. (Personally, I don’t mind, unless it makes me or them lose their grip on the toy.) If you are using this during partnered play, definitely tell your partner to be careful. Thrusting too hard with a glass toy can lead to internal bruising, and a bruised cervix just hurts. I also experimented with using this toy for anal play, but found the texture and the material combination to just be too intense for me.

Overall, I give the 24K Double Pleasure Wand 5 golden paws up out of 5! I love glass toys, and the length and texture this particular toy has to offer makes it a great addition to my toy box.

DIY Fish Tank Tubing Flogger

So, I know I haven’t been around much lately but I’ve been really busying working on things for a local kink organization that I’m a part of. Since I’ve been gone so long I wanted to put something up here for everyone.

I don’t claim to be a creative or artistic person, but every now and then I do have my moments and a good idea comes along. This is written proof of one of those moments. I’ve made a fish tank tubing flogger for my toy bag and I’d like to share my new toy with you.

List of materials:

2 x 25′ Aquarium Air Line Tubing

Cotton Twine

1″ O Ring

Note: I don’t have any connection to any of these sites. I’m just using them for picture references. You can get everything you need at your local WalMart and hardware store.

So, let’s get started.

Decide on the length and number of falls you want your flogger to be and cut your tubing accordingly. Keep in mind that the tubing is going to be folded in half through the O ring, so you will want the cuts of tubing to be double your desired length.

After all your tubing has been cut, take the lengths and fold them in half through the O ring. From my experience, the tubing was a bit hard to work with since it have been coiled in the package for so long. I ended up using hair ties to hold the tubing together and making it easier for me to make my handle. I used four hair ties staggered along the length of the flogger to keep the tubing compressed and together.

You’re going to want to use about 12 feet of your cotton twine. I did held the ends together, forming a handle, using a series of half hitch knots. Check out TwoKnottyBoys under their downloads tab for a instructional video on how to tie the handle. You’ll want to look at the video for Rigger Gauntlets. I’ve found this is a simple and secure tie. Tying off the handle is going to take you a while, so put on your favorite tv show or some good music. When you get to the last few inches of your twine you can just tie it off with a simple knot and you will be all set with your new flogger.

Here’s the final product. Be warned, this thing hurts pretty good. It’s a very stingy sensation. If you are feeling particularly mean, once you have everything finished and tied off your handle you can trim all of the falls at an angle for even more sting.

Puttin’ on my asskickin’ paddle: A review of the Jack Boot Paddle

It’s been a while since I had a BDSM review on my site, but luckily TabuToys fixed that lack by sending me the Jack Boot Paddle by Raging Stallion for review! I was really looking forward to get to try out this toy, as my mate (BloodHound) and I have a pet who had found this toy online a few months ago and was very enthusiastic about getting to try it out.

The Jack Boot Paddle is a paddle that isn’t playing around. It’s 18.5 inches long, 4.75 inches wide, and made of heavy wood. One side is plain wood, and the other has a heavy duty rubber boot tread on it. The handle is leather wrapped, and the material is held down with studs, so the overall impression is of a really study and hardcore paddle. The first words out of my mouth when I pulled this out of the packing box was “Oh dear gods. That’s going to suck.” I was right.

When this paddle first arrived, it did smell very strongly of rubber to the point that I didn’t want to put it in my toy bag, as I was worried that the smell transfer to my other toys or hemp rope. Luckily, after a few weeks and some airing, the scent isn’t as strong, but I still don’t keep it in the same storage area as my leather toys and rope.

Here’s my thoughts on cleaning this paddle. this is a rubber (and therefor porous) toy, you will want to be careful to not get blood or other bodily fluids on the rubber tread portion of this paddle, as you won’t be able to sterilize it between partners. So, don’t use it on already broken skin, unless you really want to The wooden parts of the toy are laminated, so I have been wiping those down with a sanitizer cloth. I’ve been doing the same with the rubber textured parts, then wiping it again with a damp rag to get any cleaner residue off so it won’t dry out the rubber and possibly crack. I also used a damp cloth to wipe down the leather handle, and haven’t seen this cause any issues with the metal studs or materials.

The Jack Boot is a fairly versatile toy. You can use either side of it for impact play, and it produces two very different sensations. The wooden ‘back’ of the paddle leaves a deep and intense thud that still has some sting to it. The rubber tread side is another matter. It’s incredibly stingy, and on my pale skin, it leaves instant red marks with welts forming in about a minute. It *sucks*. Our pet, however, is very much a masochist, and enjoys pain, so she thought that this paddle was wonderful! There was squeaks and giggling as I used it on her ass, and her opinion is that the Jack Boot Paddle is “Delightful.” I did try to leave boot tread imprints on her ass during our two play sessions with this toy, but apparently I warmed her up too much for them to show properly. Oh well. There’s always next time!

While this paddle is a bit too large for me to use in an over-the-knee spanking scene (I’m only 5 ft 6, so my arms aren’t terribly long), I do think it would work well for someone who is bigger than myself.

As this is a toy that can leave some pretty intense bruising and pain, I would recommend keeping impact play with it to more fleshy/muscled areas. Butt and thighs would be the best places to hit someone with this, but if you are A. careful and B. have researched some basic anatomy (which you’re going to do before you hit it, right?), I have also used this on breasts, which made the bottom make some really interesting noises. *evil grin* I would not recommend this paddle for the novice user, but if you are an intermediate to experienced kinkster, and you know that you/your bottom/play partner likes a whole lot of pain, then you should definitely invest in this toy. It’s sturdily built, and can deliver a whole lot of owch without too much work on the top’s part. What’s not to like?

Review: Bwarm Massage Candle (Amber)

Despite my obsession with massage oils and lotions, I had never tried a massage candle before MyPleasure offered me the Bwarm Massage Candle! So, FOR SCIENCE, I set things (And by ‘things’ I mean just the candle. Absolutely nothing else on the dresser caught fire. This time.) on fire, dripped warm wax on my long suffering BloodHound, and gave him a massage.

The Bwarm Candles come in a really interestingly shaped container. It’s basically a plastic votive candle holder with a side that has been elongated to a rounded drop shape. The weird shape is to make it easier to pour the melted wax out of the candle and onto your partner without any mishaps. The plastic is thick enough that I didn’t find it got too warm to the touch, and I wasn’t worried about the flame causing it to melt.

The oils in this candle have a low melting point, which means the wax melts a low enough temperature that you can pour it onto your partner’s skin without having to worry about seriously hurting them. I pour an inch or two above the skin, but my partner enjoys more intense sensations. If the person you are massaging finds the wax/oil to be a bit too hot, just move the container higher up to pour, or just pour it into your palms and transfer the wax/oil to their skin that way.

I let the candle burn for about 10 minutes before I had a pool of wax that looked about right-I usually use about a palm sized puddle of oil for massages to start with. The candle burned cleanly, with no soot, and no sputtering. (Side note: Keep your wick trimmed to allow the candle to burn cleanly and evenly, so you won’t get soot mixed in with your wax!) Some soot did get on the side of the holder when I poured the wax out, but it was easily wiped off the side, and isn’t a big deal. This candle has roughly 10 hours of burn time, though this will be less if you use more product for each massage.

The wax has a thicker and greasier feel to it than I have experienced with some other types of massage oils, though that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I found that that this candle was excellent for massage on my partner, as he has extremely dry skin. On him, his skin soaked all the moisture in quickly, but after the massage there was still a light layer of wax that needed to be wiped off before he could put his shirt back on.

The fragrance I was sent for review was Amber, but these candles also come in Fig Wood. I found the fragrance to be close to the powdery resin version of amber, though muskier than how amber normally smells to me. The scent is definitely unisex. On my boyfriend’s skin, the musk is played up, while it smells lighter on my own. The scent really does last a long time, and clings to skin. After I had given my partner a massage and washed my hands, the scent clung to my fingers for at least another hour, which did frustrate me a little, as I prefer to not have product scents competing with that of my perfume.

Ingredients: Coconut oil/wax, Soy oil/wax, Shea butter, Palm wax, Beeswax, Jojoba oil, Aloe vera, Vitamin E oil, Fragrance

Overall, the Bwarm is a good massage candle. I love the unique shape of the container, and the scent is nice, but it’s just a bit too greasy feeling for my personal preference. I give it 4 slick paws up out 5!
